Pouyan Behrouzi, P.Eng.
Pouyan started with Hatch Upside in 2003 as a Civil Engineer, designing structures for numerous projects. In 2005, he was promoted to Project Engineer where he gained broad multi-discipline experience in designing oil facilities. He was subsequently promoted to Project Manager and executed several projects with increasing complexity, culminating in the successful execution of a $190M heavy oil battery. Pouyan is experienced in leading the design of projects involving storage tanks, pumps, meters, blending facilities, heavy-oil processing equipment, vapour recovery systems and modular pipe-racks.
In 2010, he joined Hatch Upside’s management team, and became part of the ownership group in 2011. In 2013, Pouyan was appointed Vice President of Engineering and today, as a Director at Hatch Upside, he is responsible for stewardship of the engineering, design/drafting, and supply chain management teams.
Pouyan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta (APEGA). He is also an active member of the Canadian Heavy Oil Association.
